The California Music Educators Association Southern Border Section (CMEA-SBS) is the inclusive organization that supports and promotes all music education in the San Diego and Imperial Counties. As one of the largest state sections in California, CMEA-SBS is an active advocate for music education not only in the San Diego and Imperial Counties but also the state and nation through its affiliated Membership with CMEA and NAfME: The National Association for Music Education.

SAVE THE DATE - Fortissimo Gala

Please plan to join us for our Annual Fortissimo Gala to be held at the beautiful Bernardo Winery on January 20, 2019. During the Gala we will be honoring our 2017-18 Fortissimo award recipients. However, this is an afternoon to celebrate all of our Southern Border Section Music Educators who are so giving of their time. Registration will be opening soon, but please save the date and do join us for good company, lunch and an included host bar.

Rehearsals are held on Mondays from 6-9pm at Standley Middle School in San Diego.
Da Capo is still accepting new members who are interested in learning to perform on a secondary instrument. The second rehearsal will include new and standard concert band repertoire from grade .5-2, provided by JWPepper. You can find more information at:
