YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
The State of California is requesting that all VAPA educators (Music, Digital Media, Theater, Dance, Visual Art) provide feedback on the drafts of each discipline's new State Standards.
This is your chance to have a voice in the new standards!
On July 26, 2018, the Instructional Quality Commission (IQC) took action to begin the public review and comment period for the draft VAPA Standards. The public review and comment period is an opportunity for any interested individuals or organizations to provide comments and suggested edits to the IQC. Those comments and suggestions will inform the IQC's actions at its November 15-16, 2018 meeting, at which it will consider recommending the draft VAPA Standards to the SBE for adoption in January 2019.
Responses are due by September 30th.
