CMEA-SBS Solo & Ensemble Festival

The CMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival provides students with the opportunity to perform either a solo or in a small ensemble and receive clinic-style feedback and written evaluation from an experienced adjudicator.  Those individuals or ensembles who receive a "Superior" Rating will be eligible to participate in the State Solo & Ensemble Festival to be held in San Bernardino County during the month of May. The CMEA-SBS Solo & Ensemble Festival is open to students in grades 4-12 Instrumental, Voice, and Guitar.

Performance Schedule
Policies & Proceedures
  1. Performance times have been scheduled.  While every effort was made to honor special scheduling requests, we cannot guarantee all requests could be met. Therefore, all times are now final and cannot be changed.
  2. The Solo & Ensemble Festival is occurring at Correia Middle School (4302 Valeta St. 92107)  Parking is located in the upper parking lot located between the school and YMCA.  Rooms can run ahead of schedule so please plan to check in 20-30 minutes prior to your performance time.  A warm-up room will be provided.
  3. All outstanding balances are due at check-in.  Students with open balances will not be allowed to perform.
  4. Please be sure to provide an original score for your solo and/or ensemble to the judge.
  5. Solos and Ensembles earning a Superior Rating can apply for the CMEA State Solo & Ensemble Festival being held at Cal Poly Pomona on May 9, 2020.  If you earn a superior an application will be provided to you upon check out.
  6. Every student will receive a certificate of rating after their performance.  Families may upgrade to an appropriate medal for the cost of $5.00.  These are available at the check-out table.
  7. PLHS will be providing concessions during the day for your convenience.   Proceeds will go to support PLHS Music.
