The California Music Educators Association Southern Border Section (CMEA-SBS) is the inclusive organization that supports and promotes all music education in the San Diego and Imperial Counties. As one of the largest state sections in California, CMEA-SBS is an active advocate for music education not only in the San Diego and Imperial Counties but also the state and nation through its affiliated Membership with CMEA and NAfME: The National Association for Music Education.
2019 Solo & Ensemble Festival
Join us for the 2019 Solo & Ensemble Festival!
Please join us for the 2019 Solo & Ensemble Festival being held at the Beautiful Point Loma High School Campus on March 2, 2019.
The CMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival provides students with the opportunity to perform either a solo or in a small ensemble and receive clinic-style feedback and written evaluation from an experienced adjudicator. Those individuals or ensembles who receive a "Superior" Rating will be eligible to participate in the State Solo & Ensemble Festival to be held in San Bernardino County during the month of May. The CMEA-SBS Solo & Ensemble Festival is open to students in grades 4-12 Instrumental, Voice, and Guitar.
Applications are now available through February 22, 2019.

Park in Parking Structure 4. Parking is paid on the top floor. Take the bridge towards the Performing Arts Plaza. After the bridge, turn left and walk towards campus. The music building is on the right side. Signs will be out directing to the rehearsal space.
Rehearsals occur on varying days of the week throughout the year.
Da Capo members are interested in learning to perform on a secondary instrument. Rehearsals will include new and standard concert band repertoire from grade .5-3, provided by JWPepper, as well as by members of the ensemble. You can find more information at:
